Its Not 4 years Its for life, SUU Alpha Phi Elects New President.

December 14, 2016, Cedar City, Utah

When Kate Berrie Joined the Alpha Phi Fraternity in spring 2014 she had hopes of getting involved and making a difference in her chapter and on November 9, 2015 she was elected President of her chapter. Berrie had held many leadership positions prior to getting the position of President and Berrie said that her experience is what help land her the position.

Alpha Phi is a woman’s fraternity that has emphasis in the values of scholarship, service, sisterhood, leadership, loyalty, and character development. At SUU Alpha Phi has the highest Greek GPA, the most service hours, and donated the most amount of money for their philanthropy every year. Berrie commented, “I’m excited and nervous to help this chapter continue in greatness, I hope to increase our service hours and give even more money this year to our philanthropy.”

Berrie has a lot of things planned for her fraternity in the upcoming months. Communication will be streamlined, sisterhood activities will be better planned and more frequent, as well as sisters will have time to meet with her weekly and express any concerns they may be having. Berrie will have the opportunity to be president for a year and next November the chapter will elect a new president. This year will definitely being a learning experience Berrie said, and is excited to gain skills to help her in personal life. ###
