Yes, I am dating a frat guy.

It's the classic story...obiviously since I am in a sorority I need to be dating a guy in a fraternity right?! Wrong! Okay well like I am but bear with me for a moment please..... Ever girl who joins alpha phi gets obsessed with a fraternity( either one really because they both are great really). They start spending tons of time hanging out and seeking the approval from these boys. Frat guys become life. You think I am kidding but I am not. Problems start happening because 2 sisters start going for the same guy or they hooked up with the same guys at the last 3 parties. Girls then get mad at their sisters for not being loyal or choosing a guy over them blah blah blah I promise you this happens every sememster. I have always wondered why this was a thing, and looking back I remember freshman kate getting caught up in this reality as well. These guys make it seem like they are so cool and that you need their approval and their fraternities approval to be cool as well. These girls only spend time with frat guys and other sisters who hang out with frat guys( they are lowkey secretly jealous of these sisters but they will act like friends.) Then boom the frat guy plays you with another sister so you feel like you have no frat guy, no sisters and no life. Okay thats a little dramatic but you get the idea.

Listen to my advice please because I love and care so much about the emotional well being of freshman girls. Make other friends besides your sisters, go on dates outside of the greek community, and dont spend all your time with just greeks. That literally was my saving grace during rough times in our small greek community. I literally can't stress that enough.

Okay so back to the title, yes I am dating a frat guy, no it didnt happen after we hooked up at a party. It happened because he was a gentle man and I made it clear that is how I wanted to be treated. I demanded respect and that is what I attracted and I would like to say like wow I got pretty lucky. He treats me like a princess everysingle day. He always followed my advice in the previous paragraph and had a life outside of the greek system which made it easy to date him. Good things will come to those who wait I just know it. So if you want to date a frat guy, more power to ya just make sure you lknow what comes with it and hold out for one that will love and respect you.
